Paul Santens

A lover of art and music, this California native began his college education studying architecture, design, and sculpture. This finally led him to the Rudolph Schaeffer School of Design, the premier design school for its time in San Francisco. Schaeffer's school emphasized color theory, spatial design, and three-dimensional design.

Paul's membership in the Victorian Alliance and the American Decorative Arts Forum of Northern California has furthered his knowledge of period furniture and interior design. The membership of the American Decorative Arts Forum is made up of museum curators, interior designers, collectors and is affiliated with the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco.

Period rooms are not the only focus for Paul, contemporary loft spaces and mid-century modern homes are the backbone of his business. The relationship with clients is the most important part of the design process. Paul feels that decorating a room is a team responsibility between the owner and the designer. Only after a careful examination of how the spaces will function can the creative work begin.

San Francisco is the perfect venue for Paul's talents as there are so many styles of interiors to work with.
